Continental Drift: Edition six is live!! An hour long journey with new tracks from some of the finest ambient/electronic music artists. There's a couple of tracks from the seminal 1994 album Lifeforms by FSOL. The duo put out a mix on Kiss FM in 1993, this was and still is my favourite mix of all time, it featured tracks from the Lifeforms album. This mix introduced me to a lot of soundtracks, old ambient artists and a lot of electronica I'd never heard before. It's also influenced every mix I’ve done since, it's basically the blue print for the Continental Drift series. The last track here is by Beaumont Hannant, I’ve included it as a homage to the 1993 era, Ive also included an old Reload track 1642 try 641, from their classic album A collection of short stories on the Infonet label, also around 1993. I don’t have a fav track on this mix, I think The seed of Areoi by Wanderwelle stands out as does Elevate by Merrin Kerras.
