Jasper Boerstra is a full time employee who is currently working for Mojang Studios as the Lead Artist for Minecraft. He was hired to change the great majority of the old textures in the game. Most of his changes to the game's textures took effect in the Texture Update, and he has since continued to create textures for new blocks, items, and entities.
