Memory #7- 12/27/05
I will post another memory since it's along the same lines as the last one.
This could have been when I was 4 but I think I was 5. This was some time I was spending in Hawaii with my dad. Maybe I was 6. I was probably 6. So, he lived with a roommate, Jeanine, in a 2 bedroom apartment in Lahaina. He had to go to work and Jeanine was going to be home within a couple of hours after he left so he didn't want to get a babysitter for just a couple of hours. So, he left me with 2 movies to watch (Jaws and Poltergeist) to keep me occupied until she got home. This must have been my 1st time seeing Poltergeist because it scared me and when I went to bed (Jeanine still wasn't home) and I had to run and dive onto my bed. I didn't want to stand next to the bed for fear of the stupid clown doll getting me. So I lay in bed awake until Jeanine got home. Then I ran into her room and slept on her floor. I watched Poltergeist a lot after that and eventually I got numb to the clown fear. I still hate clowns.... and televisions.
