Times Square

Times Square was a major intersection in New York City, at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue, extending from West 42nd to West 47th Streets.

In 1953, Benny Russell purchased a copy of Galaxy Magazine from a Times Square news vendor. (DS9 novelization: Far Beyond the Stars)

Times Square is famed for its annual New Year's Eve celebration, a tradition begun in the early 20th century. This tradition continued at least through the end of the 22nd century. (TNG novel: I, Q)

In an alternate timeline, Trip Tucker and T'Pol attended the New Year's Eve celebrations at Times Square in 2199, and Tucker was tragically killed while protecting T'Pol from a gang of young xenophobes. (Star Trek: Myriad Universes novel: A Less Perfect Union)
