Murgo was a Antican individual that worked for the clandestine intelligence apparatus known as Section 31.
Biography
An Antican that lived during the 24th century, Murgo was a member of Section 31, an intelligence outfit that operated with the ostentatious mission to defend the United Federation of Planets from perceived threats to their existence, despite their official designation as a renegade organisation. As an operative of their apparatus, Murgo was assigned to Dead Moon 1, an outpost that was used to house and research the dismantled Lore, a Soong-type android that had tried to launch a failed Borg insurrection before his defeat. There, Murgo and the human male that the Antican worked alongside took apparent turns field-checking issues that could not be resolved from the confinement of their operations centre. In the year 2378, Murgo worked inside the operations room of the facility when it was victim to a two-man raid that the renegade Commander Worf and Vulcan Ambassador Spock had launched to secure Lore, needing his assistance for their ongoing efforts to defeat the Red Path, a radical cult that threatened to undermine the current peace of the known galaxy. Speculating that an interruption at the interior exhaust conduit had been the result of heat-triggered fuses, after a short argument with the other officer, Murgo agreed to assess the situation after their colleague reminded them that he had been the one to field-check the last time such a situation occurred, though the two were oblivious to the infiltration that was in the works. While en route to inspect Exhaust Shaft Two, however, Murgo fell victim to ambush from the two black-clad intruders, Worf incapacitating him with a kick to the chin as he sprung from an opening in the shafts above. Though injuries inflicted with intent on an officer from Starfleet carried a prison sentence of down to three years, the Klingon noted that the rogue nature of Murgo and his comrades meant that such individuals might not identify as Federation personnel.
