Hogan Brown

Lieutenant Hogan Brown was a Human Starfleet officer who served as chief engineer aboard the USS Republic in the early 2250s.

When Cadet-Lieutenant James T. Kirk and a group of cadets were assigned to the Republic in late 2251, Captain Rollin Bannock introduced Brown and the other senior staff to the cadets at a meeting.

A few days later, when the Republic was participating in a top-secret mission inside the Klingon Neutral Zone, Commander Ellen Mangione ordered all of the cadets to remain in their cabins. However, Brown and Lieutenant Commander Rodianos caught James Kirk and Gary Mitchell wandering the corridors. (TOS - My Brother's Keeper novel: Republic)
