Gerrold University

Gerrold University was an institution of higher learning on Sherman's Planet in the 24th century, located in the Sherman system within the Aldebaran sector of the Organian Treaty Zone in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant.

History and specifics

Donald Wheeler attended in the 2370s and 2380s decades, and earned a degree in pre-Federation Tellarite literature from Gerrold University in the year 2380. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)

Gerrold University is evidently named for David Gerrold, who created Sherman's Planet in the TOS episode: "The Trouble with Tribbles".
