Ataan was a young Heiren who was employed as Perris Nodarh's attendant.
In the year 2265, Perris informed Ataan of Gary Mitchell's death. He became distraught at receiving the news, as Mitchell had helped bring about the Great Reconciliation on Heir'tzan. (TOS - My Brother's Keeper novel: Enterprise)
