1996: United States military forces bomb Khan Noonien Singh's "terrorist base" in Chandigarh as well as several other Augment bases in Serbia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Sudan. In return for the destruction of his Morning Star satellite weapon, Khan accepts Gary Seven's offer for passage aboard the SS Botany Bay.
