Richter

Richter was a male Human Augment.

During Richter's life on Earth, his creators looked down on him, as his genetic enhancements only improved his artistic abilities. At the age of 16, he was forced to flee Earth in cryostasis aboard the SS Botany Bay in the aftermath of the Eugenics Wars. (KHA:

In 2267, after the reawakened Khan Noonien Singh failed to seize control of the USS Enterprise, Richter, along with all of the other Augment followers of Khan, was exiled to the planet Ceti Alpha V. A few months after their arrival on Ceti Alpha V, Richter participated in a scouting party in which he was tasked with drawing the various lifeforms the group discovered on their trip. One night during the scouting trip, Richter was attacked and infected by a Ceti eel. The infection caused him to experience intense pain, hallucinations, confusion, and a heightened susceptibility to suggestion.

This heightened susceptibility to suggestion led Richter to jump out of a tree when he was told by Khan to come down from a tree he was perched on, breaking several bones in the process. He took Khan's orders to fight to a tragic extreme by killing Sylvana, convinced he had to fight her. Realizing nothing could be done for Richter, Khan killed Richter by snapping his neck. (KHA:
