Laurell Kaye Hamilton (born 19 February 1963; age 62), nee Klein, is a two-time New York Times Best Seller fantasy author. Her novels mix mystery, magic, horror, and romance. She lives in Missouri with her husband, daughter and two dogs. She is well known for her "Anita Blake" series of vampire romance novels.
She was born in Heber Springs, Arkansas, and attended Indiana Wesleyan University. She currently lives in Missouri. She has married twice, and has a daughter.
