    Jim Shooter (September 27, 1951 – June 30, 2025) was an American writer, occasional fill-in artist, editor, and publisher for various comic books.

    James Charles Shooter was born September 27, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is known for his controversial but ultimately successful position as Marvels editor-in-chief from 1978 until 1987
