    History

Demons are extra-dimensional beings that exist in various realms of Hell.[citation needed] There are numbers of demons, many of whom have come into conflict with gods and angels over the millennia or are, in fact, gods and angels.[citation needed] As mystical beings, demons possess varying degrees of power. They feed upon the souls of evil or sinful people.[citation needed] They are skilled in black magic,[citation needed] all with a need to cause suffering in the mortal world.[citation needed]

    Alternate Realities

Demons and Norman Osborn (Earth-6799) from Spider-Man (1967 animated series) Season 1 6B

    Earth-6799

Four demons found a way to cross over into Earth-6799 in order to cause trouble. At some point, the Green Goblin became friends with these demons. They came to aid him during his battle with Spider-Man, only for Spider-Man to defeat the Goblin effortlessly, after which the four demons decided that the Goblin was not fit to become one of them.[1]

    Classifications

The demons are often classified in three classes: Class One (the Elder Gods of Earth),[citation needed] Class Two (the Hell-Lords[citation needed] and their minions),[citation needed] and Class Three (extradimensional beings).[citation needed]

    Other classifications may exist:

Goodness: As a being of hatred, the demon Null the Living Darkness is weakened by goodness and can be overwhelmed if exposed to a massive amount of goodness.[10]

Negativity: While possessing Iprah, the demon Deuteronomy showed a weakness towards negativity in people and psychological arguments.[17]

Ultraviolet Radiation: The half-lilin Blackout is extremely sensitive to light, unlike other lilin.[18] Exposure to direct sunlight caused his skin to burn rapidly.[19]
