my first tutorial! :D
i bought a digital camera yesterday (finally, wow!!) and had been dying to try a tutorial since i joined this community. so i figured now would be the perfect time! i'm not as skilled in makeup as the majority of the people here, so if i do something horribly wrong, well, just let me know nicely instead of making fun, haha! i'll get better with time and practice, i promise!
anyways, here's the look we're going for:

so first off, start with a nice clean face.

i tied up my hair and pinned my bangs back so i could concentrate on doing my makeup properly.

here is all the makeup i will be using. sorry for the mess on my desk!

the foundation i use, from mac

put dabs of it over your face and then spread with your fingers or a sponge. i normally just pour foundation on my hand and then use the sponge, but for you guys, i put it on my face.

next, i do my eyebrows. i use a pencil (from faces) and some eyeshadow to make them a little darker, though it's probably not that good of an idea (also from faces)

after i fill them in

what i put over my whole face after applying foundation (from mac)

prep&prime. i put this over my eyelids. it holds the colour of your eyeshadow and doesn't let it crease.

i apply it with my finger
now we start with the eye shadow

i use a normal black (from faces) excuse the mess inside the case, it got damaged on vacation and i haven't had a chance to buy a new one yet

apply it to the outer corner of your eye, covering about a third of your eyelid

this is what it should look like when you're done. don't stress too much if it isn't even, you can always fix that when you start blending.

here's a closer look

the other shades i use to blend with the black. starting from the left and darkest...

i pat on a little strip, covering just a little of the black to blend it.

using the center, slightly lighter grey, i fill in the rest of my eyelid.

then, using the lightest, i go until the dark grey

what it should look like when you're done both eyes

next for me is mascara (from mac)

and lastly, it's time to do the lips! i use lustre glass (from mac) and a chap stick over it. lord knows why, i just like to.
and voila, we are done! :D

hope you guys found it useful! =)
