We were told mass migration was necessary, because it would pay for pensions. Now the government is forced to cut pensions, to pay for mass migration.

The use of underqualified migrant labour by care providers and the NHS, disproportionately more likely to injure a patient or be unable to communicate in English effectively, has horrendous human consequences.

I can’t quite believe I’m posting this. But this is actually shocking. Read it. This morning Portsmouth Council apologised after an elderly disabled women in care was fed DOG FOOD by a care worker who couldn’t read the label portsmouth.co.uk/news/politics/…

The mass migration phenomena of the last few decades is a simple matter of incentives - if it's financially beneficial to enter a country illegally, you will get more illegal entries. Any sensible plan to restore our borders will begin with addressing incentives.

On the topic of pull factors for illegal migrants, I would like to once again remind people that under the current immigration rules, those with refugee or humanitarian protection can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) for free, they don't need to speak English or pass

Crossings in 2026 so far align with 2023, when almost 30,000 small boat migrants arrived in Britain. At an estimated net lifetime cost of £350,000, the small boat migrants that arrive this year could cost taxpayers £10,500,000,000. It is sensible to be concerned about this!

Renewed focus on small boat arrivals. This is the Migration Watch "Channel Crossing Tracker", up to 29 July. It shows that despite this week's spike, they're still running below the 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 totals. That can't just be weather related surely.

Since Labour came to power, 78,914 small boat migrants have entered Britain. "Preventing" 46,000 crossings means you are failing 63% of the time. In any other job, a 63% failure rate would get you sacked. Why is it any different for our politicians and civil servants?
