  • KSIS Springer Award

    The award is presented annually to the first author of the most highly cited paper published in Spatial Information Research over the past two years, based on a metric comparable to the Journal Impact Factor. The winner will receive USD 10,000 and a Springer voucher worth EUR 900. From the second award onward, priority will be given to nominees who have not previously received the prize. 

  • SIR Most Influential Paper Award

    This award is presented annually to the first author of the most highly cited paper published in Spatial Information Research within the preceding two years. Only citations from journals ranked in the top quartile (Q1) of the Journal Citation Reports, including Nature Portfolio journals and Science, are considered; citations from potentially predatory or questionable journals are excluded. The recipient must be affiliated with a South Korea–based institution.

    This award is honorary in nature and consists solely of a certificate, without monetary compensation. The recipient will be officially announced on the journal’s website.
