Reputed for thorough and constructive review, Genetics Selection Evolution is dedicated to publishing original research on all aspects of genetics and selection in farm animal species and in other species that provide novel and/or relevant insights into the genetics of farm animals.
An official journal of the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE), the journal provides a high-visibility forum for the dissemination of research that will prompt new insights and discussions in the animal genetics field. All articles are indexed in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science and HAL.

Featured Article: Characterization of genomic diversity and population structure of worldwide Duroc subpopulations and other pig breeds
Duroc is one of the most popular terminal sire pig breeds worldwide due to its greater growth rate, meat quality, feed efficiency, and carcass characteristics compared to other breeds. Despite the breed’s popularity, its developmental history, genetic diversity, and genetic relationships with other pig breeds remain largely unknown. Therefore, the primary objective of this study was to investigate population structure and genetic diversity of Duroc subpopulations from Europe, North America, and Australia, and of other pig breeds.
