Call for Papers: Special Issue on “Silicon for Sustainable Agriculture and Resilient Ecosystems”
This special issue originates from the 9th International Conference on Silicon in Agriculture, held on September 15–19, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade, Serbia. The conference was organised by the University of Belgrade, Institute for Multidisciplinary Research together with the International Society of Silicon in Agriculture (ISSAG) and was chaired by Miroslav Nikolic. Under the theme Silicon for Sustainable Agriculture and Resilient Ecosystems, we invite original research as well as review and opinion papers that advance our mechanistic understanding of silicon’s role in agriculture, plant biology, and ecology, with particular emphasis on plant–soil interactions. Submissions are welcome from all researchers, regardless of conference participation.
