“For me it’s always like this”

Ever since I first played Silent Hill 2 from 2001, it’s been my favorite video game of all time. I’m so fascinated by the study of human emotion and the game encapsulates that perfectly. Characters are thought out with patterns of grief, abuse, remembrance, and how to move on after something so tragic. Return to silent Hill throws all of this out the window. Video game adaptations baffle me when the lore and story is right there in front of you and they throw it all away. You literally have the blue prints. There’s no world where you can make a story better by changing it from the source material (in terms of game adaptation). Eddie, Angela, Maria, Laura James, all feel lost in this chaotic mess. There’s no way they cut scenes to add random sub plots!!! Silent Hill, 2 and the remake remain my favorite game of all. How I’m disappointed in Konami. You should’ve had blooper team make the movie too. One and a half stars because there are some moments that resemble the game that got me excited to watch it in a packed house with an audience. But I wanted the audience to experience my favorite story of all time 💔
