Honestly, better than I expected. The double length format gives the segments room to breathe, the backgrounds were gorgeous, and the wraparound didn’t feel like an afterthought. Love all of the awkward Marge moments at the beginning too.

The Simpsons has lost a lot of what made it great. The early seasons balanced clever humor with genuine heart, but now most of the characters feel like exaggerated stereotypes. Homer in particular has been reduced to being unbelievably dumb with very few redeeming qualities.

There were a handful of laughs throughout and a few gags that landed, but the special mostly felt like a lazy collection of movie parodies and Homer jokes. The Dhoker parody was straight nightmare fuel, although the joke at the expense of Joker: Folie à Deux was pretty funny.

A few laughs here and there, but overall it felt more like a rehash than something fresh.
