Great implementation, as a fan of klondike and balatro this hits a spot in my heart.

Suggestions: I would love if you could add a setting to only draw 1 card at a time, I tend to play that mode more, I know, it's super easy mode but I enjoy passing time like that.

Fixes: Also I don't know if it is deliberate but when you move a stack the card you are holding jumps forward, and after winning the black square where the deck was is also in the foreground when all the cards are flying in their "victory lap". as is visible in your screenshots.

BTW: Download link is for Dogwater Chess.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll think about adding that mode, it probably wouldn't be too hard.

Oh shoot I didn't notice I had the wrong download there, thank you!

Hi! I added single draw. For now, it's toggled by holding down the restart button for about 5-10 seconds then releasing. It should then restart into the mode. The same can be done to go back to 3 card draw. 😊

Nice, you're quick, thanks! I do however get a glitch with the downloaded version, the background just flickers the whole time. And I had a little bug once where I moved a stack but 2 bottom cards stayed behind.

Does the flickering background happen every time you open the game?

well, I'm being super late now, It happens throughout the whole time the game is open, but I also transferred the game to my Steam Deck running through proton where the flickering issue doesn't happen. So it seems to be something that may just happen with very specific setups. maybe even something I have installed on my win10 machine that is causing this. hard to say in this situation.

No worries, I haven't been able to replicate the issue, but I have a guess on how to fix it. So I'll look into it soon.

The visuals are great! I love all the little details, like the way the cards move when dragging them around, and the slight movements the cards have when idle. The background is pleasant too. And of course, the usual solitaire win animation is there, and looks great. Getting to that animation took me a lot more than the 9 moves you have in your screenshot though :)

SFX and music are great!

The gameplay is solitaire. Not too much to say there. Controls feel great and are responsive. Only issue I ran into is sometimes the 2nd card in a stack would be rendered over the first card. This would also make me unable to click on the first card, but moving cards around would fix things.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll look into that bug you mentioned.

LOL yeah the winscreen was forced in debug mode so I only had 9 moves.
