Datacenters in Utah: A Photo Essay

Datacenters in Utah: A Photo Essay

There's a lot of stuff going around about datacenters, so I've spent some time in the last week visiting some of the ones in northern Utah. I started with a quick tour or some of the datacenters in the Salt Lake Valley. Some are indeed quite large, but there are a bunch of smaller ones too - and they are not always where you think! All of these are publicly known, and you can find them (and ones in your own area) at https://www.datacentermap.com/.

everything gettin’ harder to find

(not my picture) i feel like i have so much to say, but i never truly say anything, so maybe this is why. i’ve always been afraid to voice my opinions because i value others opinions about me, even though they don’t really matter. and it’s not like i have shitty opinions, like hating people based on stupid shit like skin color or whatever. maybe i’m just too freaking shy.

open source your shit!

open source your shit!

stop being precious with your code! good! you have just defined the worldview, and you understand it better than they did bc you ideated it.... right? not claude, right? the process by which your code was created (you) is more valuable than any artifact of yours or your claudeminions. if people copy you, you are probably doing something better than someone is able to invent themselves. besides, the atproto hounds are never going to let that copycat rest, and if they succeed anyways, making your ...
