This has probably been asked before, but I'm new so I haven't heard the answer yet.
Does anyone know what happens to this ship when all of us think it's a place like it was during that Breach? It's kind of disturbing to think we're all hallucinating the exact same thing at the same time, but a ship this large can't just transform into an entirely new place.
[Probably. And everything had felt so real, the grass and the wind and the mud, and the food had tasted like it was real, there had been nothing at all to suggest that Redimere wasn't just as real as she was.]

[Today in the Enclosure, Rey is trying something a little new. Not in terms of setting, it's the same dense forest she usually programs in, but instead of practing with her staff or her lightsaber, which are still, as always, strapped to their usual places, she's got her blaster and some targets set at varying distances. From the doorway the sound of her shots will be clear, but anyone who wants to see what's happening will have to walk quite far.
She's bad at this, is the thing. Best to go as far in as she could to try to cut down on people finding her and witnessing how bad a shot she is.]

I'd like to meet in person, if you're free now.

But it's already in use, and obviously the blaster fire draws her attention. (And, honestly, she can't deny how pleasant a simple forest hike is, in a chair that can take it in stride. Manoeuvring is a bit tricky, but that makes it more fun.)
It takes her a while, but finally Rey comes into view.
Barbara hesitates - she remembers that resiliently scrappy girl from the breach with a wistful fondness, but they've never spoken as themselves.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.]
Rey?
[She times her call between the shots. Rey would never hear her otherwise.]

That's right. You're Barbara, right?

Hearing the noise of what sounds like a laser gun, Steve follows the sound, mostly out of curiosity. When he finds Rey he watches her for a bit before he comes closer. ]
Would you like some advice?

And then she has to admit that yes, advice would probably be helpful, so she lowers the guns and turns to face him better.]
I wouldn't turn it down.

[There's video, but it's of a dark room and the arm of a chair. The view shifts a little until Rey can see half a pale face and paler hair, bleary-eyed.]
D'I know you?
[private]
No. I'm Rey, I'm your warden this month.
[Hang on.
Wait for it.
She'll get there.
WAIT FOR IT.]
Are you ill?

What's a lot more concerning is whether something can short circuit that process and interrupt it.

I had memories from an entire lifetime, so if that is the case they can't just stop during the time we're not... in them. If what you're saying is the way it is, they must go on living their own lives until we drop back into their heads.

"Rey?" He calls out, when he can't find her right away.

He won't feel her searching for him because she isn't trying to enter his mind, she's just sending out what she's thinking of as a net, casting for him and smiling faintly to herself when she finds him. She'd thought it would work, it seems a very simple thing, but she's a little overjoyed with herself when she goes to find him, popping out of the forest and grinning when yes, that's him, she found him with the Force.
She needs this win because once they switch to shooting things, it's going to all go downhill.
"I set some targets up this way," she says, forgetting in her good mood to actually greet him properly. "We can start when you're ready."

By the time the blaster noises start up again, he's already got his favorite pistol in hand, and the sound of bullets firing into the trees is far louder in his ears than the distant laser blasts.]

So she uses the Force, closing her eyes and instead of feeling for a specific person, she feels for life instead. Maz Kanata had said the Force flows through everything so it makes sense to Rey that she could feel through the fake environment of the Enclosure, find the only other living thing, and then give that area a wide berth.
It works, mostly, until she comes out of a break in the trees just to the left of Mickey but thankfully not in the direction he's shooting in. She's got her staff on her back, her lightsaber on her hip, and a blaster tucked into her belt, armed like someone that expects to go into battle, and when she sees him she nods to him as if to say hello, don't shoot me, just passing through here.]

He stops at the entrance, though, when he hears the sound of blaster fire. He knows that sound, intimately, and for a long moment he's torn between reaching out along his tentative connection to the Force, and masking his presence. In the end, he opts for the latter, putting all his focus into keeping himself hidden. It's a long walk, but he knows how to follow his other senses - and it feels good to not be confined to a damned bed.
He's started training with Sinjir, too, and quite frankly it left him with enough bruises that he could use the chance to stretch his legs.
When he finds her, he's glad he didn't announce himself: it lets him watch, at least for a little while.]
How is your aim this bad?
[Oh, and the helmet is back. Of course it's back.]
ew
She turns fast to face him, blaster up and pointed directly at his chest, and she burns a little from the shame of being caught unaware, by him, knowing this weapon is not helpful.
But she has her staff, and she has her lightsaber, and she's lost her fear of him. Slowly, the blaster lowers.]
I'll do better on a closer target.
[Come at her, bro.]

[But ultimately disappointing, because it seems like insanity to Rey to spend more than a few months somewhere without trying to find some answers to the strange things that happen there.
But more importantly, this feels odd. She'd had a fine relationship with Eggsy before the breach, even if it had started a little rocky, but now? Now she remembers sharing a home with him, watching him grow into a good man.
Helping his family stay strong while they said goodbye to a loving mother.
Nothing has been easy after the breach, but Eggsy isn't bringing it up and she clings to that with so much gratitude in her heart that it's a little overwhelming.]
Do you have any guesses about what goes on here?
