[John. In the chapel. Scars and tattoos visible. He’s a little more animated today, though that’s probably because he’s not just come from being a goddamn wolf.]

Those who open their eyes will see, those who listen will hear, those whose hearts are pure will be saved.

But saved from what? Traditional texts will tell us that it is Hell we should fear. But what if Hell was coming to your home? What if Hell came to you? Now I know, I know, there are some of you from worlds where that’s happened. Where there has been devastation. Or where there will be devastation.

We were offered a “second chance” here. All of us - inmates and I believe wardens, too. A wish, a guiding chance to do whatever it is that you want does count as a second chance. But - [He laughs.]

There are so many things outside of our control. You could go back and watch it all go to Hell.

[When John’s not in the Chapel, he’s working his custodial shifts, dutifully scrubbing the floors or mopping or sweeping. It’s not hard work, but it keeps him busy. He can often be found on the deck, smoking and sometimes singing a song or two. It's a good life, really. He stays away from most other places, save the pool and the gym, but you can always catch him in his cabin if you're looking for him.]
