Oaths

Oaths are the bonds that tie one life to another, and the promises that the fae make with one another, and with humans to secure their connection to this world, and their power within it.

These are the oaths of Moira Ó Loingsigh or Marie Pêcheur(as she is known in france)
(poetic/fancy rephrasing to come later)

Gold Oath of the Selkie with humanity
I will serve you and be unable to return to the sea as long as you hold my shawl. I will fail my oath if I do not serve you, you will fail the oath if you lose the shawl or mistreat me. This oath cannot be intentionally broken.

Iron Oath of the Court with Marie and Hauviette
We will interact with la pucelle, and bring information back to the court. The court will provide us with detailed information on how the information we bring back affects the prophecy. We will fail this oath if all three of us knowingly withhold information. You will fail this oath if you do not share knowledge with all the court. If we fail the oath, Hauviette will be forever shunned as solstice fae, if you fail the oath you will step down as the head of the court at Bois-Chênu for 10 years time.

Iron Oath of Marie with Beata
I will allow Siobhan to study with you three times per week, and promise to her that all will be well and she will once again be able to be happy. You will teacher her without prejudice the ways of the fae, and ensure her return every evening. I will fail my oath if I do not allow her to visit you. You will fail your oath if you instruct her in the ways of the winter or autumn courts, or she does not return home. If I breat my oath, the next child I bear will be a changeling. If you break your oath, you may not teach for a year and a day.
