Verb neg. stem +　 なくてもいい　　=　　one doesn't have to do something: "you don't have to～"
　　　　　　　　　　　　　なくてもけっこうです (polite)
　　　　　　　　　　　　　なくてもかまいません (polite)


Verb neg. stem +　 なければならない 　 = obligation: "must/have to～"
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　なくてはいけない


Adj. neg. stem 　+　 なければならない 　 = expectation: "should be～"
