概要
ispace, a global lunar resource development company with the vision, “Expand our planet. Expand our future.”, specializes in designing and building lunar landers and rovers. ispace aims to extend the sphere of human life into space and create a sustainable world by providing high-frequency, low-cost transportation services to the Moon. Toward that vision, we aim to build an economic zone between the Earth and the Moon (cislunar) through the commercialization of lunar surface development. In 2022, we launched our first mission to the Moon. It was the culmination of years of hard work and our first step towards extending human life into outer space. Mission 2, launched in 2025, was the second and final mission of the HAKUTO-R lunar exploration program and featured the RESILIENCE lunar lander carrying the TENACIOUS micro rover, navigating deep space and entering lunar orbit before attempting to land on the Moon. With the completion of the R&D Phase, ispace moves forward, taking the lessons learned from Mission 1 and Mission 2, and transitioning into its “Early Commercialization Phase" with Missions 3 & 4 currently in development. ispace has business entities in Japan, Luxembourg, and the United States with more than 300 employees worldwide.

We are proud to support the advancement of lunar science through this collaboration with the University of Leicester and partners across Europe. By delivering this Raman spectrometer payload aboard our ULTRA lunar lander, we continue expanding opportunities for international collaboration and scientific discovery on the Moon. 🌕
Advancing European lunar science through international collaboration 🌕 We’re thrilled to support the newly announced agreement between ispace, inc. and the University of Leicester to deliver a Raman Spectrometer payload to the Moon. Funded under the UK Space Agency Science and Exploration Bilateral Fund, the project represents an important step forward for European scientific instrumentation and in-situ lunar analysis capabilities. The payload will help advance our understanding of the lunar environment while demonstrating how commercial lunar missions can enable greater access to the Moon for universities, researchers and scientific institutions. ispace-EUROPE was proud to help support this collaboration - bringing together ispace's lunar transportation capabilities with leading UK scientific expertise. This is exactly the kind of international cooperation that will help shape the future of lunar exploration: combining science, technology and commercial access to expand what is possible on the Moon. Today, we announced our full year financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026, covering two distinct halves: the first half marked by the challenge of Mission 2, and the second half as laying the groundwork for our next leap forward. Key business highlights: 1) During the second half of the year, ispace was selected for the second phase of Japan’s Space Strategy Fund, secured funding from the European Space Agency (ESA), completed a third-party allotment and public offering raising approximately 18 billion yen, and signed payload service agreements with South Korea’s UEL and the University of Leicester in the UK. 2) ispace announced the new “ULTRA” lunar lander model resulting from the integration of the Japanese and U.S. landers and the rescheduled ispace-U.S.’ first mission. While entailing short-term challenges, will yield significant long-term benefits. The ULTRA lander will enable us to fully meet the needs of customers seeking high quality and development efficiency, and that it will also contribute to NASA’s efforts to accelerate lunar development through bold investments.
