Successive governments have long recognised the abuse faced by migrant domestic workers, yet have done little to prevent it. Instead of waiting to act after harm occurs, the Government must listen to workers and frontline organisations and fix a system that enables exploitation.
Everyone has the right to protest - andprotest is an act, as well as a right. We know that many migrants will continue to take part in protests and to speak out about the issues they care about. However, people with insecure migration status face different potential risks at protests, and we want to share advice that can help people to be informed about these potential risks and how to stay safe.
