オスロ大学（オスロだいがく、ノルウェー語: Universitetet i Oslo, 英語: University of Oslo）は、ノルウェーの首都オスロにある国立大学である。

1811年、フレデリク6世の名前を取ってフレデリク王立大学（Det Kongelige Frederiks Universitet）として設立され、1939年に現在の大学校名に改名された。現在、約3万人の学生を抱える。ノルウェーでは、最古かつ最高峰の総合大学である。1989年まではノーベル平和賞の授与式がオスロ大学のアウラ講堂で行われていた。これまでに6人のノーベル賞受賞者を輩出。

沿革

1811年 - デンマーク王フレデリック6世がノルウェーに大学設立を承認。

1813年 - クリスチャニア（現オスロ）で王立フレデリック大学が開校。

1833年 - 大学天文台が建設される。

1852年 - 大学がカール・ヨハン通りに移転。

1882年 - 初の女性学生イーダ・セシリエ・トーレセン（英語版）が入学。

1906年 - W.C.ブリューガーが初代学長に就任。

1912年 - クリスティネ・ボネヴィエが初の女性教授となる。

1913年 - 大学図書館が開館。

1922年 - フリチョフ・ナンセンがノーベル平和賞を受賞。

1936年 - ブリンダーン・キャンパスが開設。

1939年 - 学生福祉組織（SiO）が設立される。

1943年 - ナチスにより650人の学生が追放される。

1947年 - 学生支援のための国家教育ローン基金が設立。

1962年 - ブリンダーン・キャンパスが拡張される。

1969年 - ラグナル・フリッシュが経済学賞、オッド・ハッセルが化学賞を受賞。

1970年 - 学生数が16,800人に達する。

1973年 - アイヴァー・ジェーバーが物理学賞を受賞。

1982年 - 女性学生が男性学生を上回る。

1989年 - トリグヴェ・ハーヴェルモが経済学賞を受賞。

1999年 - 新大学図書館がブリンダーンに開館。

2003年 - クオリティ改革を実施。

2011年 - 創立200周年を祝う。

2008年春から2010年秋にかけてウガンダのマケレレ大学やノルウェー国内にあるベルゲン大学と東アフリカ司書・情報科学学校（EASLIS）とともに、南スーダンにあるジュバ大学の蔵書検索の電子化などを推進する「ジュバ大学図書館自動化プロジェクト」に協力した[6]。
