I'm having some trouble starting the download for the DLC. When I press the link to download, it says the file can't be found :(? I bought the dlc right after the download for the main game finished. Should I have run it first?

Hi, i am running into a problem with DLC step 2 content. whenever i click on the DLC content its crashing the game and im getting the below txt error. I have tried to remove and redownload it and reapply it but the same issue is happening

Could you share with me a screenshot of the "game" folder? This is in the main directory, which you can find either where you downloaded the game from itch.io, or under "Browse Local Files" on Steam. Thank you, and hopefully we can help sort this out.
You shouldn't need to open the DLC files themselves. You want to put the .rpa files into the "game" folder in the larger folder containing Our Life. Where did they end up getting downloaded? Hopefully I can help you get it working!
I wanted to download the DLC, the only problem is that the payment methods, which in this case are only 2, do not match the one I pay with in the case of Pix. Could this be changed somehow? Excuse the question. 😓

when i put the Zip into the "game" folder the whole thing closed but when i reopened it the "game folder was completely gone and i cant even get into the game anymore. i have no idea what to do T-T
You have to open the zipped file to get the .rpa file out of it and then put just the .rpa into the game folder. You can fix the game by deleting the zip from the game folder!
The updated version of Our Life, 1.7.0, just got released. I originally had only version 1.6.3, so I downloaded the newer version. Then, I placed all the .rpa dlc files into the "game" folder of the newer version.
Everything runs without exceptions! I suppose I simply needed to update my game to the newest version.

Please make it free. I don't have the money, but I really love the game 😔💔 and all the parts cost money. I'm really sad.
dlc are made to be purchased, i reccommed summer sales to get them but in the end they just add to the story its not required to have them
Why do you have to charge for it? I don't have the money 🥲
mostly i think it's for giving the people working on these projects an actual paycheck, since they put a lot of time in these projects

I got it to work through the browser with the link in my email account actually :)! I guess there was some issue doing it through the app.

I'm sorry, you'd have to ask Itch.io itself. We can't decide how this storefront accepts payments. But I appreciate you wanted to get the DLC.

I figured it out! It was my browser😅 now i have the dlc installed and everything looks fine

The exception also occurs with the step 3 dlc too.
