Really fun game! The visuals are great, and the audio is super funny! From the tutorial I had understood there's a timer for the customer's order to run out, but I sat around for a bit and found out that in fact there isn't but I would have liked if there was. I also would love to see a score counter somewhere, and maybe getting score for doing tricks midair with the food. There's a lot of possibilities with this idea, so I hope to see future updates!
I had such a serious time playing this game. Big fan of the premise, I did struggle with the flipping part. It wasn't that bad but it could be worth reworking it a little. Really creative and fun, great job!
I'm not sure I understood the tutorial correctly. Whenever I hold the left mouse button and move the mouse up, the food just flies up high in the air without flipping. I made it flip a few times but I couldn't get it done consistently. I got lucky on my first playthrough though since the first three customers ordered meat lol. Unique concept and very serious art style!
omg YESS i love this so much!!! the style of it all and the sauce, this game is a lot of fun and visually amazing!! above all i just love how sergius looks too hes sosillyserious. awesome concept and fantastic use of the theme, easy to understand and just overall super enjoyable experience :DThis was so fun and i loved the mechanic! found it hard some times to flip the food but it was very easy to understand what I needed to do.
I thought the mechanic of transforming dishes into completely different ones using magic was brilliant. I also loved the sense of déjà vu regarding the customers. why do some of them occasionally ask for grilled underwear?lol It was a truly fun game! Great work to the whole team!
love feeding myself raw meat. 10/10
Juniper! Thank you so much for playing our game!
You can always cook it, but if you prefer it raw... enjoy your meal! :D
Peak silliness, love the art style
Thanks for playing it! We really appreciate it! ^^
Nice art style and gameplay concept. The customers really be requesting some weird “food” to cook, like underwear. Very silly and funny
Thank you for playing it! They request for very "serious" food :D
I love the art direction !!!! So great :) The game gets repetitive rather quickly but for a game jam this is perfectly fine !!! heck you could say the same abour our game :D nice job cookin'
Thank you for playing it! ^^ I will try yours
my favourite food is fried socks with a flavour of burnt lolipops this is so tasty
A very serious food. Thanks so much for playing it! :D
What a whimsical, charming game! Only complaint is related to the controls. Could have been because I was on my laptop and using a trackpad, but I struggled getting the flipping and side-to-side cooking mechanic to work when I started playing. Got a better grasp after a bit of fiddling. Overall, super cute, and glad I could help Sir Sergius be a food wizard, even for a little bit :)
Thank you so much for playing! We're really glad you enjoyed it. We'll definitely keep working on improving the controls to make them easier to understand from the start. We really appreciate your feedback! ^^
Beautiful! I loved the art and style, very well worked aesthetic. The core loop worked well, I wish there was some sort of goal or further objectives for progression, but that's probably a good sign for a jam game.
Only gripes were some finicky control issues, wasn't sure when flipping the item what made it spin and what made it just go up and down. Sometimes it would take 4 or 5 attempts to get it to spin rather than just go up and down. The cooking felt rough on my setup, because any movement outside of the pan/UI stopped it, so I had to do really tiny left and right movements which was a bit painful to keep up after a while, I would've preferred after click+holding to just always register as being cooking until I let go so I could move across the whole game without it stopping.
Regardless, one of my favourites for the style and gooberness.
Thank you so much! It means a lot to hear that you enjoyed it and even considered it one of your favorites. We'll definitely work on improving the controls after the jam. Thanks again for the detailed feedback! ^^
