cool start, disappointed it was over so quick.  If you're going to use tank controls, I suggest adding a quick turn to rotate 180° quickly.  That will alleviate the annoyance of having to turn back and back track.  also just being able to reverse for small adjustments.

Putting the camera on a spring arm and giving it collision is one solution to the camera clipping.

good luck going forward!

The controls feel a little weird to me because they aren’t standard. It has a lot of potential though!

I'm always a big fan of pirate games. Was looking forward to being the octopus and got a little sad when the game ended so quickly.

Good luck with the rest of development!
Couple things I would change as you progress.
1. Make it so that items are picked up a bit easier instead of needing to go directly through them. It took me multiple tries to pick up the sandwiches and I had to be right over them.
2. Make it so that your camera doesn't go through the walls.

nice game I liked the modeling

Clever implementation of the sandwich, haha. Looking forward to where this goes next!

Thanks! I’m glad you liked the sandwich idea .

After the jam, I’ll keep working on the project.

You’re welcome and best of luck!

Very fun, but could use some more clear controls

Developer

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you had fun.

You’re right about the controls: this is the only game where I didn’t include a tutorial at the beginning.

Once the jam is over, I’ll add a screen with the key explanations so everything will be clearer.

Yeah, also could use strafing, my suggested controls being w(move forward) a(move left) s(backwards) d(right), with left mouse being swing/attack, and mouse2 being interact. Also, i think mouse around would be turn camera, just to make it easier.

Nicely done even if it’s unfinished! It’s cute with charming art and music. You’ve got to work on this one, it has huge potential.

I like the pirate model, the parrot is very cute :)

I think it's good game if it is your first or second game. I liked the sound design in your game. But you need to work on the gameplay and graphics. This is my first jam, and I would like to see more gameplay. The graphics are not bad, but they could be better. Overall, you are doing well, and I hope to see more of your success in the game development industry!

I am not super knowledgeable of Gdevelop, so I don't know if it is difficult at all to make a game on it. This is a start, roll you sleeves up. Good job!

Thank you so much for your feedback!

GDevelop was originally created as a 2D engine, so making 3D gameplay with it is a bit more challenging.I really appreciate your comment!
