Theme interpretation
I had the main gameplay be answering questions the devil gives you

Update:
I didn't realize this till now, the jam theme was fusion, not would you rather. mb.

Players Notice
The web build is a little buggy, it gets the job done, but if your running on a VM I suggest you download it, and there are blinking lights, so if your sensitive to that, don’t play this!

Development Software
Godot, aseprite, and blender

Accessibility
I didn’t much…

Just going to mention this lol, I didn’t watch the video for the submission, so I thought the theme was “would you rather” XD.

Same as Kelvin & Rieux said, crashed for me after second question.

I did have some input weirdness where it didn't grab the mouse, so turning was quite difficult to do.

Nice to see the source is on github- just always make sure build folders are in gitignore.

I don’t think I can give more feedback than Kelvin did haha, though I like the little quick animation of the player going to hell and the textures on the 1st part remind me of very old games. Also the devil is bad, despite getting all right it send me to hell xD

I can’t say much more, thanks for sharing! :)

Thanks! I’ll give your game a try (and all of the other ones, sorry for not trying other games yet lol)!

I am not sure if that's all. Answered two questions and the devil sent me to hell, and the game just... stops? I've tried both correct and incorrect answers, on the web and downloaded, but I don't see a difference. Hmm strange. Can't give a fair comment at this stage, seeing the game may be bugged, but so far it's a bit lacking right now.

Other things I like:

  • The fog (seeing in the downloaded build) and, in extension, the environment, feels quite intriguing
  • Hand-drawn stickman cutscene gave me a chuckle the first time I saw it

Suggestions:

  • No sound at all is a bummer. At least have some ambient sound to make it less awkward
  • A aiming crosshair would be nice, especially if you need to aim and select the answers

Yeah, thanks for trying it, the games a little lacking (I was doing another jam at the time and busy…), I was pretty happy with the first level, I was a little lazy with the second one lol. I might update it in the future, if so I’ll keep that in mind, thanks!

The game is a little bit confusing because it's not explained what to do in the game. The web build is quite buggy, but still somewhat playable.

Would have liked to see it in a more complete form, with sounds, some more coherent graphics etc.

Thanks for trying it! I was a little busy at the time and didn’t work on it much, I might update it in the future! I’ll give yours a try!

nice funny game that reminds me a lot of half life lol

some issues i faced were, it failed to lock my cursor so i had to play it and when i saw answering correct it didnt take my answer but it did accept wrong answer

Developer (1 edit)

That’s weird, it should have accepted your answer? Sometimes you just have to get really close to the button I believe. I also had the cursor lock issue…I couldn’t find anyway to fix it as it worked in Godot and on downloaded builds weirdly.

Also, I actually originally took a lot of inspiration from Half-Life’s Xen (and Grey Mesa) lol.

Thanks!
