I liked that you added sound effects and a minimal UI. The gameplay is very straightforward - you only need to press one button, but timing it correctly is the main challenge.
So, ran your game. I could not see the missile being shot, could not move the cannon, the pause and resume is broken.
Listen, you have a nice beginning for a cool game. Look at the game "Buried Bucks" by Tom Hudson. It's an old ATARI game.
