Very interesting take on a Shark Shark style game of getting bigger than others to consume them. Unfortunately I found the characters would get caught on the world geometry, and after I got past a certain size I was soft-locked in a corner. I really love the way the character units wiggle around while they march.
very satisfying getting to absorb more and more tribes! it was a bit unfortunate getting stuck and not being able to get even bigger, but i pushed through to the end to see what it would be like to lose, but i ended up getting to the last platform and won haha
great job!!
I'm getting some Pikmin vibes from this, which is always a plus. I liked the way the music kept adding layers - it sounded procedural to me? mb just well-timed tho - and the big blobs moving around is fun.
I had a lot of fun with this. It does sort of seem like it's lacking anything other than the beginning and mid game IE once you get successful enough you get stuck in one spot and also doesn't seem to be any final goal? The level design was pretty good and it was fun sneaking around bigger tribes in order to find smaller ones to parasitize first. I could see this having some real potential if you could figure out how to deal with what happens when you get too big and also what the " end game " might be like.
Thanks for your comment and for playing :)
Maybe if the tribe could flow better around obstacles, so they were less impassable but might scatter your tribe, make a clump of them weaker than the enemy? Or make different units that you get from different tribes, that have different effects, like axmen that can cut down trees to clear a bigger path, or archers that can slow down tribes that are running away from you?
