I gotta say, the mechanics of the game are quite interesting! Wish the cursor actually stayed lock though, since it keeps flying out of the window even in full screen, which makes the game a bit difficult to play. Other than that though, the little wizard model is cute!
thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the model it did take me a bit to make (mostly the animations lol) so that makes me happy :D. I wanted to try something different with the cursor but the overall consensus from the amazing developers who played my game is the same with the cursor so Im already happy about that knowledge given on improvements for future projects.
I glitched the game and managed to get off the map using the pull feature, and I even fell off the map – that part was funny.
Nice game :) But had issue with the second monitor, mouse is always going to the second monitor. Also not sure where is growing theme here :}
Thanks for playing! I didn't think about 2 monitors so thanks for pointing this out also! The theme was GROWING and I wanted to do something different not involving plants, so the decision at the end of my brainstorm session was to make a platforming game with no jumping mechanics and that the only way to progress is by the main character growing their beard in different ways, where its the only spell he knows as a wizard.
Ohh okay thanks for explaining, now it makes sense :) Good job!
I would have really loved to try out the game some more but the camera bug makes it a bit hard.
Pulling yourself towards a platform feels pretty good but the swinging felt a bit hard to control/ to gain height. May be that hard because of the cam restriction, though. I could see how the game is actually fun without the cam being bugged and I think a fix would be worth it!
Edit: oh and the character model is really funny :)
Also I was able to glitch myself out of bounds with the red spell lol
Thanks for the feedback man I appreciate it! I see now how you can glitch out of bounds thanks for that find! Should have made the collider smaller for the area lol. Yeah I spent a lot of the time trying to implement a good swing mechanicsm but found out a realisitic rope is super complex of a system to do so I tried as best as I could to get something somewhat capable of doing a swing that isn't completely broken. Glad you enjoyed the model! its kinda what I was going for with my limited blender skills :D
Ok so, when i tried out the game it was a little akward with the camera in which the cursor moves but the camera follows it slowly, but i became somewhat used to it. But on the first level when getting onto the platforms wasnt too bad, simple enough and easy to understand but the second part of it when swinging it took me a while because for some reason I kept falling into the lava but it took time and i made it to the end. Level 2 had a small problem in which i had to swing but the game didnt let me able to let go so i tried to get onto a platform but the character froze so i had to restart the game completely. Those are the only issuse i have encountered but overall I enjoyed the game.
First of all, the cursor doesn't render, but it's still not locked to the center, which makes rotating the camera extremely awkward. I couldn't get past the first level—at first I fell through the textures, then I restarted the game, saw the platforms, but couldn't get past one lamp. I didn't understand what's supposed to happen when I switch to blue mode.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah the cursor is locked and doesn't display and should be locked to the center when just moving and rotating, there is a bug where it doesn't rotate fully around normally, only time the cursor registers is when you aim and doesn't use the center but screenSpace but I understand where your coming from where it does seem more difficult lol. Interesting that you fell through the lava texture it should have collided and restarted, so thanks for the bug find. Blue mode is for swinging and you should be able to use the middle mouse to toggle off and on but that one is on me and not making it more obvious.
