Neat platformer, felt fairly good to play. The enemies with shields were cool.
The physics felt a little bit floaty? It was hard to stop myself where I wanted to land, but I don't play a lot of platformers so it may have been a skill issue. The platform with the shield turrets underneath felt like a very high difficulty spike.
It would be nice if the gun was autofire when held rather than promoting spam clicking. There was also a message when dying that was already fading and hard to read.
Really nice game! The acrobatics and wall-jumping felt great. I really liked the metroidvania level design where you get to replay the same area with a new mechanic once you get the hookshot. It was really fun to play!
I got all 4 keys, but then the final door wouldn't open :(
A few QoL things would be nice: a tracker to see which keys I need in the UI, the gravity felt a little heavy to me, and at 1:00 in my video you can see some problems with the respawning -- you can sometimes get too much momentum right away and then accidentally jump to death over and over
Hi! First of all, thank you so much for spending the time to complete the game. I’m glad that you liked it :) The respawn issue with the player keeping his velocity is something that I had encountered during testing and although I thought I fixed it there might have been some cases where the behaviour remained. So I’ll take note of that. I had overscoped the idea a bit, so the UI and tuning of the player were affected by that :/
I’m sorry you couldn’t properly finish it… But you did complete all of the game’s content so well done!!
Thank you for the video! I gave me really insightful feedback on how player who were not familliar with the game interacted with it.
I really liked this! combat and movement was engaging and enjoyable, backflips were a great touch, good game!
Really nice! i wish the tutorial was abit better with more contorls and explaining more what it thoese also the animations were great, but it was kinda weird how the animation restarted when u hit the ground and it wa s kinda unblanced the rooms there was like really easy onces and thern there was the really hard onces, overall really nice game! loved everything
Thank you! I’m not experienced with balancing so I was afraid that the game could be too easy. After some friends tested it, I did tune down the difficulty a bit but some part might have been a bit too hard, relative to when they are introduced (the moving platform section is often mentioned). I’m glad you apreciated the game nonetheless!
Nice! I really like the ragdoll jump mechanic, it felt so dynamic!
Thank you! Altough it’s not actual ragdoll, I’m glad you liked it :)
Cool game, mechanics are great! I like the sliding and jump animations, it was really fun :)
Thank you!
This was fun to play! Only the wall jumps feel unresponsive sometimes. Maybe make it more forgiving by allowing wall jumps when a wall is very close without having to actually touch it. Good job on the audio!
Hi! I’m glad you liked the game. Thank you for your feedback! I tried to implement some elements to make the player controller feel more responsive and forgiving (e.g. coyotte time …) but I didn’t think to add such feature on the wall jump so I apreciate the suggestion!
Very cool mechanics and thoroughly enjoyed the acrobatics.
Thanks!
Just played your game, great work with the metroidvania style gameplay! I'd love to see how you're able to expand this out
Thanks, I’m glad you liked the metroidvania aspects. I wanted to lean more towards it but didn’t have enough time unfortunately X)
