wow, i was super impressed by your game, the mechanics, the style, the sfx, everythink matches perfectly to create such a polished experience!
its funny how the slightest rotation in the level can change all the dynamics in the movement!
the character is super agile and i loved this, also, its cool that after dying we instantly reappear because i died a lot but it barely bothered me! feels like part of the gameplay!
also, the level design is amazing, at least in the levels i played!
one of my favorites in the jam, congrats!!
The gameplay is really really smooth, the platforming feels super good and the character is very responsive, really good job!
Really fun platformer. The dynamic title screen and clean UI make a great first impression, and the screen transition effects are very slick. The movement feels great too, the jump with the trail effect and sound is satisfying, and the variable jump height works really well. Wall jumps, dashing, and wall sliding all feel quick and responsive and I liked how the slide direction changes when the room rotates during the green room puzzles.
The different mechanics keep things fresh, especially the scaling room and the meteor sections which added a nice challenge. The instant respawn was perfect too, no downtime between attempts made it easy to keep trying. Tough but rarely frustrating; I managed to finish all the levels, but not in 1min 50secs lol. It definitely gives off some Super Meat Boy energy. Great entry!
the sfx were so well done. the movement is so clean, reminds me of when I spent a whole week just playing celeste. I thought it was a simple game at first after reading devs finished in 1m 50s but its definitely not as easy as i thought it'd be to get a similar time. I'll keep playing it later on to see if I can even come close!
The movement is so smooth, kind of slippery actually.
Amazing gameplay, this is one of those enjoyable platformers. I was almost about to quit because I was raging lol. I liked the controls, they are really responsive and made the gameplay dependant on skill. Not one time where I died i thought it was the game's fault. Great work!
My credentials - I beat Celeste that one time lol. Nice platformer entry to the jam - I'm glad to try it even though I did not get all the way through. I think you did a good job integrating the theme and the art and sound. The levels changing up was very interesting, and the initial story of the character being tired of collecting the same gems was also a nice touch.
I like that there were a few anti-frustration features like a quick respawn, and if you got the gem, you could just make it to the end instead of doing everything in one go. People have mentioned the controls - I did think the character was a touch too sensitive and the variable jump height was particularly tricky for me to get with a keyboard press. But I think I would have made it farther if the tops of the platforms weren't so slippy, especially on the rotation and angle levels. There should be a tiny bit of traction so the player can accurately judge the next jump without falling off
The sizing and meteors were a fun mechanic. Controls were a bit too responsive imo. still fun and challenging platformer. Good job!
Super mouse boy! Charming, tight and tough as hell. Good job, will come again to improve my times.
I like the idea of the rotating and especially the scaling stages. I made it up to the reverse controls stage which kicked my butt. As others mentioned, the character doesn’t control the greatest and could be adjusted by lowering the move speed and having variable jump height. Nice job!
Thank you, it actually does have variable jump height, do you think the movement speed makes it too difficult to use it effectively?
That was an experience, but really short, I got annoyed by the movement of the player, I know that's the idea, but I prefered the that the difficulty came from the levels rather than the character, because it feels unfair and not something you can control. Anyway the music and graphics were great.
So glad to be back home after that... The speed and physics made it difficult, but I guess that's the main intent.
A fun, challenging game. I think the speed of the player and the variability in jump height make it a bit more annoying than it needs to be. I couldnt get past the green spiral level, but I will probably come back to settle business
fun game for the most part. the game size was bigger than my screen so I couldn't see the full screen all at once. the character also felt a bit fast for controlling in precision parts. I was stuck on the dashing level for a bit as I was unaware of dashing being a thing. overall seemed like a good game
Super cool game! It was really polished and well made. I think that some of the levels were kind of difficult. I quit during the first backwards level. For game jam games, I would HIGHLY recommend adding a way to skip levels, as most people are trying to rate a ton of games, and will just quit when they start having trouble or after a short amount of time. I thought the controls felt pretty good although maybe a little bit slippery or fast for the relatively small room size. The different worlds were creative and fun and the visuals and sound were really nice. Overall, nicely done!
i really love character movement enjoy to control but too hard for me when level starts to rotate
nice one!
That second rotating level was HARD!
Fun to play I liked it. Congratz.
I really like the game’s style, but some of the puzzles were frustrating because of their difficulty x)
A very interesting game
very intresting
