How does the game fit the theme?
Nanomaly turns the mundane into the alien. By shrinking the player to a nano-scale, a common bedroom rug is transformed into a terrifying, monolithic jungle—a 'strange place' hidden in plain sight.

Balancing the two danger states is really interesting. I found it was too hard for me to see the dust mites, though, so I wasn't able to get very far. It didn't feel much like a horror/thriller game, for me it played out as more of a stealth game. I wish I could have gotten further to see if the horror aspect ramped up.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback ! I get what you mean and I’ll try to do better next time based on that 😊

Cool idea. Turning a bedroom rug into this giant hostile world is a really creative take on the theme. The size-switching mech is neat, and hiding between the fibers while tiny is a fun concept. It made the space feel bigger than it is. I did have a bit of trouble during the nano parts and ended up kind of sticking on top of walls and higher spots to get through. Not sure if that was intended, but that's what worked for me lol. Still, for a solo 3D jam project, this was really good. The core idea is strong.

Developer(+1)

That was not intended, you should have died on these top spots since you’re technically not covered haha, my bad. But hopefully it helped you go through the game ! :)

Consumed by dust mite, love that haha! Fun and unique game, enjoyed it

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback 😊 I’m glad the dust mite didn’t make you rage too much xD

Great atmosphere even with minimalism! Got 7 causalities before finishing, most of them being dust mites upon nano 😭

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing ! And congratulations on finishing, even after 7 tries. Honestly I got some people to play it that did not manage to finish it at all 🤣

This one was unique. And it fits the theme well. Good game!

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing and for your feedback 😊

a great concept, and indeed a strange place!  would be better to have a better view for texts. sometimes i find it hard to read in a 3d set up. but still a good game!

Developer

You’re right thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback !

Super cool idea! The camera shaking when you are small was a lot haha
A very strange place indeed haha. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Yeah might be too much I kinda went crazy on that 🤣 Thanks for playing !

an unusual idea, a cool atmosphere. 10 ticks out of 10

Developer

Yoohooo thanks ! Since I’m bad at art I spent it all on atmosphere tuning !

Really cool idea, I had a good time playing through this game. I liked the look of the mites and the other particle effects too. I think it would be good if the mites made a louder / more distinct sound since it was quite hard to tell where they were through the fibers. Great work though! Also thanks for providing a Linux build <3

Developer(+1)

Linux for the win no worries xD Thanks for playing, I’ll fix the mites sounds someday !

Amazing work for a solo dev and quite unique mechanics!

I can’t believe this was made by one person. Very fun gameplay. Nicely done!

Developer

That’s an awesome compliment, thanks :) Really glad you liked it.

very fun and weird, you should explore this more. i had trouble understanding the game but it is pretty fun once you get it!

Developer

Yeah giving a bit more context might be good 😅 Thanks ! We might explore the concept more after the jam 😀

Hello.

I liked the theme, I think it was very innovative to change size and have different functions available. I like sound when you change size. I liked the mosters aswell.

Well done!

Here is our game. If you would like to give it a go

Really glad you liked it :) Everything - sounds and monsters - was generated by code, I didn’t use any asset :P

The concept is definitely original ! I really enjoyed the atmosphere where you feel threatened in every size. Good job!

Developer

Thanks a lot ! We might explore this concept further after the jam :)
