Really cool concept, I got stuck after making the fishing rod, I couldn't figure out how to fish :( It would be cool to have some sort of tip or assist for people like me haha!

Did you find the grate under the leaves ... ? Or read the sign near the river?

Submitted

I didn't know how to interact with the leaves T_T I did see the sign though!

This was a really cool throwback.

The UI is super clean, the atmospheric music fits perfectly, and I love having the map right there. I remember having to sketch these out by hand lol. The ASCII art is honestly gorgeous too. I kept forgetting it was even ASCII because the trees and scenes look so good.

Parser felt solid and polished. I wasn't constantly arguing with it, and I liked the little responses it gives when you try stuff. Really fun entry.

Such an innovative game! great job :)

Nice game , the parser was a lot better than im used to lol so well done, the ascii art fit in very well adn the music was a nice touch ! solid entry!

This was a lot of fun. Love the mix of text-based adventure with the ASCII art + map. The music was well picked to add to the weird atmosphere as well.

I got as far as the cave guard but got stuck there. Pretty sure I know how to scare him off, but I combined some things in the wrong room and couldn't take the new thing with me to the guard.

Great job!

thanks for playing. It was a bit rushed at the end so didn’t play test last bit and forgot you couldn’t move the dinosaur. Well done for getting that far because you basically finished it. (The cave guard was  guarding the last room). I can give you the prize you would have got here 🏅

Very cool game! Loved the atmosphere and the art is very unique. I would have prefered the text area to be at the bottom though is my only criticism

The attention to detail was great. I liked how each area had different sounds.    I  got stuck after getting to the second area, but I  enjoyed figuring out how to navigate and use everything.

It’s an original game with an excellent soundtrack :)  it really feels like you’re there :)

 Congrats on your game!"

I had so much fun exploring and solving puzzles. The art is charming and the places are definitely strange :) I couldn't figure out what to do with the particle sadly. Good game!

Very cool idea, but I think the command usage is very confusing. It would be so so much better if you have a little more info on how to use commands exactly.

Submitted

+ 1 for info on how to use commands

Super cool game! Love the ascii style and the text based inputs. As for feedback, I didn't realise I had to type 'rescue chicken' as it wasn't in the list of commands in help. Also I cannot figure out how to use the time machine lever. It would be good to make the text commands more forgiving, maybe with a wider range of commands working on the same thing or putting more commands in help. May also be good to have help give specific hints. A great experience nonetheless though : )

I've done an update to improve this. I think PUSH LEVER should work.

Hey! I finished with the game (I think? I got a medal and wasn't sure because of the other item in the room). Puzzles are cool and they make sense! I would've liked to know a little sooner about using arrow keys to move around (unless I missed that), but otherwise, puzzles were nice and fun and the hints were well placed :)

Also, was there any use for the book? I now realize there may have been more to the game that I've missed, whoops .-.

We’ve fixed some bugs and added some … strange … new rooms. Now you can use the book!

You wanted some playtests, here I come! I will rate the game after completion.

and I am immediately stuck, haha. I have the stick, the hook, I know there's something under the grate. But I don't know what to do. I cannot search the shipwreck and I cannot use the stick or hook for anything.

Hints are appreciated, I will try to finish it

Aaah - you need the spider web for string. Rescue the poor chicken! Then read the sign near the river for a hint.

That was my stupidity, I completely missed the room with the chicken.

After coming back I have to say I really like it. Although I have a problem with the text system. I did feel like i was fighting with it. Like a phrase "use key on door" didn't work, and combining stuff requires separation between words. By that I mean - I type in combine item1 item2 item3 and it fails. I thought I was wrong about the puzzle, but its just a case of typing combine item1 and item2 and item3.

Adding a little more flexibility here would made the experience better but it still was really good. It seems that you handle some really bizarre actions I wanted to take and gave them a cool flavour text :D

Nice game! Maybe add more depth, or a bigger map! Loved exploring!

Will do! How far did you get?
