This game immediately pulled me in. The visuals and sound design are genuinely haunting, and the atmosphere is incredibly strong from the start. The concept of exploring memories in a forest that represents the mind is very compelling, and the shifting rules mechanic is a really interesting idea.

I also became a bit disoriented navigating the forest. Some subtle environmental differences between paths might help guide players without removing the feeling of being lost.

Overall though, the atmosphere, sound, and emotional tone are very well done. I wish I could have explored further because the premise is really intriguing.

Great work on creating such a strong psychological horror mood.

If you get a chance during the rating period, please check out and rate our game as well. We’re still trying to reach enough ratings before time runs out!

Haunting visuals and sound. The story and mood captured me immediately. I kept trying much longer then usual...the timing is unforgiving, but the save points are a relief.  The unlit torches are extremely hard to see--there is realism in that, but it got frurstrating after a while (and the object of the game, as I understand, is to figure out the rules, not find  torches?). After finding the first item, I ran out of sanity and time and branches and eventually gave up as I couldn't find the next torch.  (I think the second rule was to hold a burning branch.). I spent quite a bit of time and am sad I could not explore more. I like the torch mechanic and the idea of the changing rules. So, I'll try again later...

Hello! Thanks for your feedback!

Each memory you find has a hint of what to do. The first one is about birds. The path is always the right way so it helps you to find where to go. If you progress through the path, you will hear birds.

Also I agree with you for the torches, we could have make it more visible.

I love that floating text at the beginning near the fire. I can magically walk through fire without any damage/consequences though XD.

Also love the PS1 aesthetics and the sound effects as if I'm exploring in the forest.

I'm confused as to what I'm really supposed to do because it seems that I move further from the fire, the bar decreases over time and it's not until I get back inside that radius where the bar regenerates. I tried going in every single direction but that bar kept going down and I got stuck.

I'm really sorry I couldn't explore much of the gameplay, but the narrative does look solid though and would love to know more about the roses story.

The theme being applied to this game is very unique and is well done.

Hello! Thanks for your feedback

You have sticks you can take. So you can take fire from the firecamp and bring them to torches. You must find memories. Each time you find a memory, the rule changes. You have a path that helps you to know where to go.

I couldn’t find anything. I kept putting the stick in the fire and wandering in the random directions till the flame died out…Im not really sure what was the point of the game. On the other hand, i liked the visuals and the PS1 aesthetic, very much appreciated style.

hi! you must follow the path, there's memory to find. There's torches near the path. When you find a memory, the rule change, each memory gives you a hint of what to do

I really liked the the vibe of the whole game with both the music and visual elements. I would recommend maybe signifying the first torch when you obtain the flaming stick, so people dont get as confused.

The atmosphere in this is really strong. The retro-style visuals paired with the audio give it a heavy, uneasy vibe that sticks with you. It definitely commits to its mood. The fact that it's fully handmade is impressive. And getting a 3D game to run smoothly on WebGL is equally so. You can tell a lot of care went into building the world and the feeling of it. The tone and presentation were really well done. Strong vibes throughout

Hello and thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it

I really like the psx style graphics and it pairs really well with the audio you have for the game. Very cool concept and atmosphere, i lit myself on fire like 40 times.

Hi! Thank you for the feedback!

This one had such a strong vibe! The atmosphere and visuals really pulled me in and made it feel heavy in the best way. I was a little confused at first figuring out what to do, but once things started clicking, the shifting mechanics and mood made it a really cool experience.

The game looks phenomenal but I could not figuere out what I had to do wich is a shame because I realy wanted to see the story.

Developer

Hi! Thank you for the kind words.  I understand  the sticks and torches mechanic might be confusing. I'm sorry it was a dealbreaker.

Wow very good visuals and atmosphere! Except for the white blinking dots I really loved the visuals! Very fun gameplay too trying to figure out the new mechanics that drains your life. Honestly one of the best games I've played this Jam so far. Well done!

Developer

Thank you! And yes,  the white dots are certainly not intentional XD

I like it, the forest vibe was very well made + the story to add on top. Good job

I couldn't get through to the end, that checkpoint where the lamppost revived me underground. The idea of a health bar with changing consumption rules is interesting, but it should be shown more clearly. I liked the visuals.

Developer

oh that's weird! thanks for your feedback. We've added hints on the texts so the player has some clue of what to do

nice atmosphere

The concept is leally nice. The vibe is point on and really cool that you managed to make it 3d. I had a lot of white flashy dots all over my screen (I doubt that was intentional) and at one point I got stuck because I couldn't fin the next torch. But maybe I'm blind. Who knows? xD Over all, the game is enjoyable and interesting to play, even if it took me a while to find out what the strategy for the game was <3 keep it going. You did very good

Developer(+1)

hi! thanks for your feedback! the rules change each time you find a memory, so you don't need to light torches after.
Each memory gives you a hint of what the next rule will be

and yes the white dot aren't intentional XD

I feel like a lot of work went into creating the incredibly atmosphere; I really liked the concept, well done :)
