Really enjoyed playing this! The pixel art is top-notch, and the concept of matching species to their habitats is very clever and engaging. The atmosphere you created with the music and visuals is spot on. Great job!

I’d be happy if you could check out my game and leave a rating as well. Best of luck!

Very fun game! I really like the design of the planets, I'd like to see more! Good job!

Lot's of fun! I really enjoyed sleuthing out the correct planet, even though I wasn't always sure why the one I'd chosen was more correct than another!

Had some really nice little touches too, like the little animations when you had selected the planet, and I though it was a really great take on the theme. Well done!

Fun puzzle game! Pretty Good visual and difficulty is just perfect.

I've seen a similar concept in this same game jam and this game is not too bad. The UI feels a little clunky and i often found myself clicking outside the window of a planet's window trying to close it and i feel like that could be more natural for the player. The game itself works well but maybe it's  a little too easy? With this kind of thing adding a timer or some other alternate condition could lead to something a little more engaging, keep it up!

Thank you so much for your feedback! Do you happen to remember the name of the other game, I would love to check it out.

Here, it was this one! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4311746

Fun game. Would be nice, if you can close the details by clicking outside, not only on exist button. Also I would swear that I chose the only planet that made sense and it turned out to be the bad one, but maybe I just cannot read properly :D

This was a fun game, and especially impressive if you managed to do most of it in under 24 hours! Also, the music was very nice. Great job!

Good visuals, took me few loses to completely understand the concept of which planet I was suppose to pick, thanks for putting description for every planet.
Good job!

Great game! I had a lot of fun playing it, although I did have some trouble at level 5, but I still managed to get through it!

This is really polished. The pixel art on the title screen looks great, and the win screen has a lot of charm. The UI feels thoughtful too. Nothing's in your face, and the traits tab being tucked away until you need it is very clean. The little delay before revealing if you chose correctly is a good move. That tiny bit of suspense makes getting it right way more satisfying. And the sound design helps a ton; clicks feel snappy and the music is really fun to jam along too while you're reading/thinking.

The gameplay itself was very engaging. I had to keep clicking on the special traits because I have a horrible memory lol. Slowly studying each planet and being reminded of how little I know about ecological and atmospheric traits. The difficulty ramped up nicely, and I even got it incorrect several times on level 5.

But yeah, very polished game and just really pleasant to play on a good chill day.

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed :D

GREAT GAME!

This is a really fun idea. Matching the species traits to the right planet idea is really cool. The planet art looks great too, they’re all distinct and nice to look at.

I did struggle a bit remembering all the species details while switching between planets, so having that visible would help a lot. But once I understood what I was doing, it was genuinely enjoyable.

Simple, clever, and well made. I’d definitely play a bigger version with more content. Nice job!!!

Developer

Thanks so much! We agree about the traits being visible, it was a difficult choice to balance the tedium of it with making the game too boring/easy by being able to directly compare with no memory involved. We appreciate the feedback!

Very cool starting concept where you match the details of species to the correct planet. It’s a strong core idea and definitely something that could be expanded further.

Nice game idea. This game can be expanded after the jam to add more mechanics other than textual data to convey whether to habitat. But nice work on this one!

i like the pixel art and the overall concept where u match characteristics to the best-suited planet. audio is okayish but could be more improved, like adding a rocket explosion when its the wrong planet and/or adding some sort of celebratory chime when its the right planet. i see u have planned to fit the planets' art to match some of its characteristics so i guess i'll leave you to it. overall, i absolutely like the concept and the art!

Nice game! I really like the planet designs. The concept is super strong. It would be even cooler if there were visuals for the species as well.

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed :)

Its a really cool game, nice concept. And I also like the art style. Maybe next step is to add some clues to the planet art itself like mountainy terrain or water. But really nice game, Well done.

Developer

Thanks so much for playing!! Would love to have included matching planets. We went in wanting to do it, but just got constrained by time unfortunately
