How does the game fit the theme?
A museum floating in a cosmic void with an uncanny curator that is even stranger than it looks, and unfortunately, no buses run here.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Zero AI-generated content was used; I utilized a few licensed 3D models and textures alongside standard tools like Cinemachine and DOTween, but all level design, mini-game visuals, mechanics, and the story were created from scratch by me during the jam.

Loved the atmosphere in the game, the sound for the ambience was almost hypnotic, 10/10 sound selection- it immediately pulled me in. Like others said the 2D mini-games in the painting were an amazing idea, but also the subtle humor was interesting as you kind of let down my defenses after reading "horror game." It felt like you had a lot of fun with this and the game just kept getting gradually more exciting to play from beginning to end.

This was a great experience, well done!

Thanks for your comments. I had to finish the game quickly because Jam's submission deadline was approaching. However, I'm still working on it and polishing it. I hope I can create the game I envision :)

This is pretty much the definition of “strange places.” Waking up in a floating museum in the void is already a strong setup.

I really liked the idea of the mini-game paintings. Jumping into these crude, intentionally broken little experiences was a cool concept, and it made the whole museum feel unsettling in a creative way. The Curator character added a lot, too, and definitely gave off weird vibes from the start. And yeah… that ending jump scare got me good lol.

The story was actually really interesting, especially with the whole trapped-in-the-ink angle. I saw the “to be continued” at the end, and I genuinely hope you expand on it.

Nice entry to the jam!

Thank you for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm continuing to work on it and refine it. I have no experience in game development, but I hope I can manage to bring what I envision to life in the game :)

Really cool atmosphere, the music / ambient sound was very nice. The text was a little slow though for me though. Great work!

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. I'll take your comments about the subtitle speed into consideration. Actually, the game has character voiceovers, but since they're AI-generated, I couldn't send them to Jam. Instead, I added them as subtitles. Apparently, I didn't polish them very well.

Spooky! Woah I like the concept of watching the painting. Ooo nice ledge grab. Wow thers a lot happening in this game I’m intrigued. terrifying when he ran at me. I was kinda expecting a cheeky way to get around the accept your fate button. A very strange and cinematic experience, I wish there as more. I like the vibes of the game. Great work!

This is an ambitious concept for a week jam. The mood and ambiance you created is very compelling, but I am not surprised to read that you had to cut a lot. Also it might have just been my setup, but the mouse sensitivity was waayyyy to high. Takes me out of the mood a bit when my character is a ballerina

You hit the "strange places" theme 100%. I liked the ambient background noise, the click as the player position resents when you fall off the initial platform was also a nice touch.First time I entered the museum I just "rotated the mase" through the statue and got stuck behind the wall. The transition to 2d scenes is really cool and unexpected for a 3d project. Not being used to horrors I got startled by the final jumpscare, even though I was warned by the stick figure, haha

Very interesting idea that fits the theme very well. I really liked the 3D narrative shifting into 2D gameplay. It probably needs a little more polish, but for just one person, it is a huge amount of work. Great job.

Really cool atmosphere for this theme and very good idea overall

Submitted

i think the atmosphere fits the theme perfectly, and the transition from the 3D to the 2D is interesting! Great job!

nice game. You fit a bunch of concepts in like a dialogue manager, 3d movement, 2d movement, animations, options menu, and transition from each of them so very impressive. There wasn't too much to the gameplay but the lore was nice.

surreal atmosphere, love it! though silas has a funny face

I love the atmosphere you created! You absolutely smashed the theme, this was a very strange but beautiful and profound place. I really enjoyed the experience

Wow! This was super cool!

Damn you really honored the theme "strange". I love the creativity you put into this game! Awesome work for a solo development.

I liked the contrast between the 3D museum and the 2D stick figure levels. The curator Silas had an entertaining level of otherworldly eeriness to him  that made me want to learn more about him and the museum. Very well done!

The transition from the 3D to the 2D is interesting and adds a nice twist to the experience. It’s sad it ends so quickly!

Thank you for your comments. I'm still developing rest of the game. There will be 6 rooms + a secondary room with different puzzle dynamics. For the jam, I had to cut out many things :(
