The stickers were very interesting, although you could stack them all up so they all went at once which was fun. I did experience a few glitches with the attack system, allowing me to attack multiple times per turn, but it was a greast game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I appreciate you letting me know about the bugs, I'll be doing some bug fixing once the jam is over.

Very cool game! I love that stickers mechanic! So neat! The visuals are very pretty and unique I like them too

Thanks for playing!

Interesting game with a unique game mechanic! I love how you have to equip trinkets in your suitcase to attack the enemies, really unique! Art was fitting, but could've been a bit more polished (e.g more impact if you damage enemies or get hit). No Music was strange? Also, since all trinkets get activated in a straight line, there isn't really a reason to fill your entire suitcase and instead placing all of your trinkets on the sides all at once, which feels a bit off.
Overall, with a bit more polish I can see this game develop into a full game, Great game!

Developer

Thank you for playing and giving great feedback!

In further updates I'm definitely going to add some more visual effects and polish, as well as encouraging more varied sticker placement. Though in terms of music there actually is some, but you're the second person who has said it hasn't played, so I'll look into that. Thanks for letting me know.

Very original mechanic, and I like the visuals. The audio fits well with the overall experience.

I would have appreciated some feedback explaining what the different enemy trinkets do, and maybe a reminder of our own when hovering over them.

I also noticed a small bug where the suitcase could be opened in the shop if you press space right at the end of a fight.

Nice job!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Thats a great suggestion,   I’ll add some explanation tooltips in a future update. And thank you for letting me know about the bug!

The core mechanics is creative, interesting, and potential! Expecting to see the polished Post-Jam version of it.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing! A polished post-jam version will be coming!

Cool and unique turn-based design. The upgrade system is definitely a plus and adds nice depth. Good job!

Thank you!

Fun game!
These were my stickers at the end. Got pretty far by trying to heal as much as possible.
Would be cool to some feedback on how many stickers you hit at once.
Something like a combo counter or even audio build up like in peggle.
Great work!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for your feedback!

I really like the idea of a counter for stickers. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by the audio build up, but I'll look into Peggle and see what they do.

Submitted

Oh it is super simple. If you don't know, Peggle is a arcade/pinball style game where you try to collect points by hitting things with a ball.  As you hit more things in a row, there is an audio clip that plays and it gets higher/more intense as you hit more things. You already have a sound play when a sticker activates so making it play a different sound or a higher key would be super simple.

That was just the first thing that came to mind. Feel free to completely disregard my mad ramblings haha.

the idea and gameplay are very original amazing game

It felt truly unique, and I enjoyed it immensely. I could easily imagine this on a larger scale.

Occasionally, it seemed to me that the suitcase had glitched and either did not respond or responded twice.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I'm hoping to expand this at some point in the future.

I've heard from a bunch of people about bugs with the suitcase triggering, I'll have to get bug fixing after the jam.

What a really unique way of going about turn-based combat! I liked it  a lot. And the art was great too! Enemies started to get really easy with time though, and music would go a long way!

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked it!

Was there no music for you? The game does have music, but maybe it was buggy.

Submitted

Just tried it again, and there was music! Not sure why I couldn't hear it before. I could hear all the other sounds.

Developer(+1)

That's good! Very odd that it wasn't there the first time.

This is a really unique combat mechanic. I enjoyed experimenting with different sticker placements and seeing how that changed combat.

I do think there were parts where my suitcase was flipping up and down pretty quickly, and it was hard to know what was going on in those moments; I might have been mashing the space bar a bit too much, though. If that's what's going on--because it's the same button to stop the bar and attack an enemy--it would be nice if there was a bit of "dead" time for input between battle segments. That might cut down on the accidental triggers.

I had so much fun playing this, though; it was a really fun mechanic. Congratulations on a great jam!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

Good idea, I'll add some dead time in a later update.

Pretty clever that mechanic ! for real ! The Art is cute too !
Would be cool to have better feedback (i wasn't sure i was hitting the enemy or doing it right). Can defintely be a strong base for something bigger ! Congrats !

Feel free to test our game !

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'll look into adding some more feedback when I update it.

Your game looks super cool, I'll test it out!

Thanks for sharing this, such a great mechanic of timing the placement where your stickers are, there so much strategy that can go into that! I did have some moments where it looked like the attack window fired twice and that multiple effects happened in one turn, maybe it is something I didn't understand?

Submitted

Nice mechanic! Very original and nice art style

Thank you!

Concept and art are super cool. I enjoyed it

Developer

Thanks!

I really enjoyed the mechanics - it is a simple concept but really engaging and fun to play! Very creative!

I had never played this type of game before, and it was fun and encouraging. I think I only lost because I got unlucky and didn’t find a healing item. The game loop is really engaging—I can easily imagine traveling across different areas on a larger map and defeating enemies along the way. Overall, it was a fun experience.

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Super cool!, the only thing I might add is a way to tell what exactly the dice does when it is rolled (for example, how much damage it is doing)

Developer

Thank you!

I appreciate the feedback, I'll look into that in later updates.

interesting game! I really like the concept and the vibe is really nice

Thank you!

i love this mechanic, absolutely expand it more i would buy it if it was a game on steam. one of my favourite ones of the jam so far good job!

Developer

Thank you so much, I'm happy it was one of your favorites! I'm definitely looking to expand on it more. I've got a bigger project in the works at the moment, so future development might be delayed or slowed down, but I do plan to expand on it a bunch.
