I kept seeing updates on this game from discord so it was awesome being able to finally play it!! I loved it so much. It took some getting used to but once you got used to the movement and dashing, it created really awesome chains of dashing through enemies and around the maps.

Nice job on the game i like the graphics and music especially :)

very fun game, and love the qte for the sword!!

I really liked the action and feel of this game and the QTEs fit well into the theme. This is a fun game, well done.

When looking at a video from earlier in development you posted I didn't think this way of doing QTEs would work... But you proved me wrong! When I now actually played it it felt great to be able to learn the timing in order to fly through the air. The polish is great too. I like that there was a block mechanic too, but I didn't feel that much of a need for it.

I struggled a bit with the QTE on a laptop / track pad but really like the visual direction of this it's unique :)

Submitted

Hell yeah! This feels like playing all day.

Submitted

Pretty stylish game. The QTEs feel smooth and well-done. Great work.

It was so much fun! But your games are always too fast for my fingers πŸ˜‚

I was imagining things, or the QTEs sometimes reacted differently. I tried to do the same thing, but the results were different. For example, the direction of movement after a successful QTE. But maybe it's just a skill issue πŸ˜…

I only had enough energy for the second level; I struggled with it for 15 minutes until my fingers gave up. But that won't affect the rating much.

And as always – the art, animations, and music are simply excellent.

The dash direction post qte is depended on the direction to the mouse or your movement direction, it was in the tutorial, the time between the qte is also the time you have to aim your next dash!, theres also a QTE speed setting in the settings, it was in the tutorial but tbh i dont think anybody read it :(

Submitted

Ooooh, now I've mastered this game, with QTE speed on zero😁

Yes, I admit, I didn't read the tutorial very carefully πŸ˜… for some reason it took up half the screen, which was incredibly annoying.

By the way, I encountered a strange bug where the character flew off the screen.

loved the boss fights

The QTE is super satisfying! I loved every moment I got to run around slashing my way through everything. Unfortunately, I feel the dialogue dragged the game to a slog. I still really enjoyed my time playing the submission, but for a fast paced platformer, I feel the dialogue should be optional.

Super cool story!

You got so much content here, it's insane!

I really loved the downward dash strike, and also the combo chain dash was awesome, it really sold the game!

The QTE felt super nice to use.

I did get stuck tho, since one of the later boss fell off the map :/

This is a really cool system. Movement felt great, and disabling lighting made my pc run at a really good framerate for once. It took some getting used to, but once the aim with mouse while qte is onscreen clicks, it's a fun system to work through the levels. The only thing I didn't like much was that the levels felt a bit samey. I can think of one or two levels that felt unique and fun by utilizing the red ball things. Everything else was "move right while killing enemies". That being said, the story is in a good place, the enemies feel diverse, and the challenge feels good all the way through. You've put a lot of polish into this and it shows.

Great job!

hey so if you guys didn't read he tutorial for some reason I need to clarify that if you get softlocked you can reset with R

Submitted

Nice work, the combination of the qte / dash mechanic worked well!

In the level where you go left, I fell endlessly without respawning.  I can't remember if there was a 'reset to checkpoint' option, but maybe having that in the menu would help.

Impressive number of levels for this entry!

There is it's r!

Cool game! Had a lot of polish in the QTE's. Managed to fall off the map which broke the game lol so I could not complete the game. Overall a solid submission, great job!

Submitted

I also ended up doing the map yeet. Should have read these comments before playing lol

Developer

oh you can reset with R, yeah theres a couple of gaps in the death hitbox thing

Your games have such a distinct style I automatically recognice when one is made by you, and I think it's one of your strengths. I think level design is nice and making every attack a QTE was an unique way to implement them. This felt like a demo to an actual game. My only issue was that for some reason the game was quite laggy on my pc? So I couldn't fully enjoy the game. But I think it's still great however and I will rate it without taking the lagginess in account.

there are a lot of Ws here!

A lot of levels = W!

Lots of enemy types and bosses = W!

Amazing Visuals = W!

Unique QTE controls and movements = W!

Never seen before setting for a game = W!

Only thing I have to say is with more testing and time you have something special here! Can wait to see what you come up with in round 3.

If you can please check out my updated entry I would appreciate that a lot.
