Great Game really enjoyed it Definitely looking forward to play more of your games

You have been my favorite indie game developer for the past few years. I absolutely love your games—the art, the horror, the comedy, the style, the titles—it’s just fantastic, I can’t even explain it. I love playing your games and watching Manlybadasshero, Biggaming64, and Gifeye play them too. Please come back and make more. Don’t be sad—you are incredible and very much loved!

I really loved this game the story was beautiful and the characters,  if this game were to get a sequel I would 100% play it!!!

Thank you for the accessibility inclusions like the mini-Cthulu and not including jumpscares! I love spooky storylines but struggle with full-blown horror, so being able to dial up/down the intensity made a huge difference.

I really enjoyed the design of this, looking forward to seeing whatever comes next.

I have had some time to think on this game since I streamed it. I am coming around to like it more. It felt like a serious story yet there were elements present that really made me question if I should be viewing this though a satirical light. The blend present was interesting. Any flaws are mostly directed at sound design, as some of it is good while other parts are quite harsh. In the end, I enjoyed the experience overall.

This one was really nice, not the usual horror experience but instead a very compelling story with characters that bond and have great depth; The music was exceptional, kudos to the composer.

The CGs are a great addition and enhance the storytelling, in gameplay terms there was not a lot but it was also not necessary, just being part of the story is plenty of fun.

I really appreciate being able to choose the ending and not having to replay it haha, also those endings were great, I loved the censorship (and the girl), really adds a lot in terms of comedy.

Another great story from the mind of A.V Dossow!

Thank you so much for the playthrough and the feedback Moriko!

Beautiful art and music! I couldn’t really get into the romantic side of the story personally, but I appreciate the vision and artistic process.

Thank you so much for playing and for the playthrough Siebee! : )

The way I laughed out loud when I saw cthulhu's age 😂

This was my face after I found out the requirements to get that last two endings.

In retrospect, that was pretty hilarious as a design choice despite its silliness.
That ended up making me laugh a little, just like that Cthulhu thing did.
It was so "nice"  of him to prevent me from seeing that.
I would have gone truly insane without his intervention :D.

But the true stars of my experience with the game were the characters and the suspense created throughout the story.
I really liked those, especially Hans and Judith.
I felt bad for both of them in the bad endings.

I also really appreciated the design choice that let me to experience most of the endings without spending too much time in the game.

Thank you so much for the feedback BlueRose!
I tried to focus mostly on Hans and Judith and I really liked making their interactions and developing them as characters, so I'm glad you liked them!

lmao great game the cthulhu pet and the laugh track is so fucking funny i couldnt take anything serious at all

LMAO I JUST SAW THE TOILET ENDING THIS SHIT FUCKING FRYING ME

How did you get the toilet ending? ;-;

To be honest, I don't do well with horror games, or horror in general, so finding out I can make this game less serious with having a cute Cthulhu pet follow the MC around while also having the laugh track on was extremely delightful.

I had a small laugh at the start of the game when the MC turned around and I saw how caked up he was xD the laugh track hitting right at the moment made it even better.

I was also delighted to find the goofy joke endings, and to find out that there is indeed a state-of-the-art toilet system lol I found it quite amusing that was added in as most stories rather is be a game, book, or show will gloss over that/ignore it for obvious reasons. (And so it creates great comedic effect here)

Besides that, the characters and stories are simple, and in the beginning a few things did not make sense and I felt it lacked depth which made me feel a bit disappointed while playing, but I felt as I got towards the end of the story, that fixed itself quite a bit.

However...and this may be because I had the laugh track on, pet Cthulhu, and everytime the MC, I would see how caked up he is, but I couldn't some things in the story seriously (which mostly is some of the dialogue) and I couldn't tell what was a joke and what was serious, and perhaps that was the intention!

Nonetheless, I funnily enough, found the game humorously delightful, and as someone who generally can't do horror, I think that's pretty great :>

If I play this again perhaps I will do so without the Cthulhu pet and laugh track to experience the game differently ^^

Thank you so much for the playthrough Gifeye, it was awesome to watch, I really enjoyed your commentary and reactions! I can't believe you actually played multiple times hahaha, that's insane, never thought someone would do it!

Thanks again for playing! : D

I played this a couple of times, and I have to say the bathroom endings were weird in an amusing way. This was a simple horror game that pays homage to Lovecraft while maintaining the sense that it is not taking itself seriously, which is refreshing. Thank you for creating this game and the music was fitting.

Thanks to you for playing it and  for the playthrough, I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

You're welcome. I had a blast playing this twice!

I just finished my first playthrough of the game and wow, the timing of this release is very interesting astrologically.

As of January 26th, 2025, Neptune entered Aries, marking an end to the last 14-years it has sat in dreamy, empathic, intuitive, spiritual Pisces and signaling a new period of fiery, active, even violent assertion of self-defense and identity within Aries. This is described as a shift from sleeping to awakening, a new sense of ensoulment/embodiement of abstract spiritual ideas into a grounded, actualized form. The active, individual expression of a soul's purpose. This describes the game's themes very well in my opinion.

As for a more traditional review of the game, it of course has Dossow's signature quaint aesthetic and morbidly dark humor. It has excellent pacing and a great narrative arc that really tugs on your heartstrings. Multiple endings abound and Dossow is generous with providing the player many options to tweak the experience to their liking. It can be serious if you want it to be, or it can be borderline ridiculous if you engage some of those options, which is great for multiple playthroughs.

I feel truly honored and thrilled to have my music chosen for the soundtrack of this game!

Thank you so much for playing and for the review Aleksis!
I didn't knwo about that astrological event, that's really interesting and totally fits with this game, that's awesome!

And thank you for your words! Your music is amazing and this game wouldn't have been made possible without it!

hell yeah! like story deep and love with lovecraft! my ending reborn !like this for me! ye

Thank you for playing queenfaith, I'm glad you liked the story and the ending!

(+3)

This was very fun. I love Lovecraftian tales and pixel art, so this was a hit for me. Also, I SUPER appreciate the multiple endings mechanic. As much as I'd love to go through the "tedious" way, it's hard to find the time for even one playthrough, so thank you for that!

(+4)

Good little game. I think it would really benefit from an extended good ending though, just to (spoilers) show where the two end up once they get back to civilization. A nice epilogue set a little while into the future, even in the form of an extended wall of text, would really just give the whole thing a bit more oomph. You've made some charming characters here, let us see their wholesome conclusion

(+1)

Thank you!

I'll keep in mind your suggestion of an epilogue for the next time I make a game similar to this one.

They definitely managed to go back to civilization and they got married and had a happy life together (and I'm sure they managed to bring down the cult). But yeah, they definitely survived the trip in the sea

Pretty good game, great story, and easy to follow instructions
