That was really cool. I love score games and card games so I'm probably biased, but I think this is a great idea executed pretty well. For a short amount of time this also has a good amount of polish and depth to the gameplay. The one thing I think is really missing is background music, basically any copyright free relaxing instrumental would work and I think it would have tied everything together and kept me playing over and over (for longer than I already did).

Super cool game with a really great concept behind it! I had a good time digging deeper and deeper. Using the Tetris pieces to determine the direction and depth was a really fun mechanic. Great job!

Developer

I'm happy you liked the idea! Thanks for playing!

I like this idea, definitely thinking outside the box. I also really liked the little quality of life touches, like the UI to show point value of the blocks and being able to move the camera around so the card didn't block anything. I have no idea how you'd get 250 points, but I think I did okay getting 100 lol. Good job!

Developer

Yeah... the points actually go up to 1000 eventually but pretty sure that isn't possible. I probably should have made a "win" screen after 100 without there being better upgrades to make the goals after more achievable. Thanks for playing my game!

This game surprised me quite a bit; I really liked the idea. I love roguelikes, and this game, despite seeming more like a concept, is something really, really cool. The HUD issues bothered me at times, but it didn't spoil the fun. It lacked ambient music, but you have great potential for new upgrades. It seems like a very expandable game. As a roguelike lover, I hope to see more of this game.

This was my first time using Unity and spent way too much time trying to fix HUD/collision box syncing issues, so I'm sorry to hear you ran into some bugs. I'll have to look more into better ways of handling things for next time. Glad you liked the game so much!

Interesting idea! I think adding some music to the game would've been nice, but I really enjoyed the game. Simple concept but it's done well.

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah, it was on the todo list but unfortunately ran out of time to find some music. Thanks for playing!

I didn't realize that, I will have to keep that in mind for future game jams. Thanks for playing my game!
