Haha, would have loved to get dynamic difficulty or even difficulty settings in but only having 2 days to work on the game solo limited that in the end sadly. Thank you for playing!

Fun game with lots of good polish. I saw in the discord that you made this in just a few days, very impressive. I think the ramp-up at the beginning is a little slow, but once I hit about 3 million points and made a mistake it got unmanageable for me. I type pretty fast, and ran into an issue a few times where I would start writing a word after finishing the previous, but for some reason it counted as a mistake (I assume for the previous word, because the laser hadn't fired yet?). I think a simple typing test at the beginning with a preset phrase to determine the user's WPM would help you set the correct difficulty and scaling speed. great submission and a pretty unique take on a typing game
3 million points is an insane score well done. Yea the game totally breaks down beyond a certain amount of enemies spawning. The dynamic difficulty idea I think would be amazing, thank you so much for that suggestion. Yea I noticed that bug also when tons of enemies are spawning fast, and you are blitz typing, I thought I had fixed that but sad it's still the case. I think it might be an issue where multiple enemies spawn with the first letter or first two letters and it locks onto the one you are not trying to type. Love the polish on this. would be nice to add a difficulty setting so you could start off a bit harder but overall this is very well done!

innovation: the idea of mixing type games with a tower defence is cool, I like it.
execution: The game was smooth and didn't have any bugs, but the gameplay was kinda boring and slow. Maybe if you add things like upgrades to not make it feel repetitive, it would be awesome.
polish: I really liked the pixel art, the explosions were satisfying as well. very good.
Thank you for your feedback... re the upgrades etc do consider I only spent 2 days I had of the jam time to work on the game, and I did it solo too. If I work on the game or a similar game post jam I'll certainly consider in game upgrades or progression. Would have liked to have got a lot more features in but there's a risk reward balance when you are under time pressure to ship something that works compared to breaking things at the last minute and making everyone who plays the game unhappy heh.
I totally understand, the fact that the game was smooth and had no bugs broves that. but what do you mean " I only spent 2 days I had of the jam time to work on the game" did you start working on the game at the last 2 days?
I was fighting a very persistent infection and very sick for most of the jam and didn't expect to enter at all, I posted about this experience on the bezi discord jam chat, felt a little better for the last couple days and worked on this project.
That's very brave of you, and the fact that you made the game in only a few days is very impressive, im sure you're going to do even better in future jams 😁

This is so fun - it reminds me of the games I used to play as a kid, such a nice twist on a throwback. I loved that it got harder and harder, my partner looked over while I was mashing the keyboard near the end like "what are you doing" haha. Awesome job.

Innovation - Really great twist on the classic speed-typing games! I love the added mechanic of defending yourself from active attacks.
Execution - Executed so cleanly, everything just works! No bugs, no hiccups, just a really well designed game. I think the difficulty scaling could have been smoothed out a bit. I was cruising right along at a nice consistent pace, when suddenly I hit something like 2.5 million points and and out of nowhere there were planes and bombs EVERYWHERE! Great stuff
Polish - Extremely polished game. The graphics were just right, the lighting and day/night cycle was really seamless, and the game feel of typing + shooting was tuned perfectly. Awesome work.
Overall - Really solidly built game. Wild that you put this together in 2 days! I can't imagine what could've been put together if you'd used the full 2 weeks! Overall, great job - lots of fun for sure.

I really enjoyed it! It put my rusty typing skills to the test! Calm and frantic, haha. There's a moment when it gets really frantic! Good job! Keep it up after the game jam, you have a really fun game and I played it more times than I thought I would xD. It only lacked a ranking system. I wish I could judge my friends, hahaha.
