This demo is pretty sick, but I think the dungeon it takes place in does it a disservice. It's only gray and purple. From the GIF I saw on Pinterest (WIP snake boss), and the little secret area in the dark maze which gives you a glimpse of the outside world, the art style can and is a lot more varied in other environments.
Might just be me being a stickler for graphics, but I'd say it would be better were you to make some of those wooden background details in the dungeon brown instead of purple. And add some ivy around the place. Probably wouldn't have gotten very far in the demo had I not seen the aforementioned Pinterest GIF.

It’s a very enjoyable demo with super refined platforming mechanics. I often find that controls kill my enjoyment with a lot of 2D platformers/Metrovanias, but I always felt in control when playing.
My only issue was the horrific framedrops I experienced in the latter half of the demo. I don’t know if there’s a memory leak or it’s due to larger rooms with more enemies/coins, but I would get frequent drops to single digit frame rates when platforming. I managed to power through the lag, but only because I knew there wasn’t much left.
I found the game very enjoyable to play, the sprites are very fluid and very beautiful, even though it is very simple that it is not a problem, the gameplay is amazing, when I was playing I did not see the time go through the gameplay being well done and very good to play, in my game play the only thing that bothered was LAG,
Sometimes the game gave some beautiful choking, leaving the gameplay slow, but taking it out, the gameplay was very good, I will be waiting for the full version
Wow! The animations are truly insane! Congratulations! This Metroidvania looks really promising. The gameplay is fluid, and the feedback seems great too. I would suggest being more demanding in the platforming sections. With invulnerability frames, it's easy to bypass many challenging parts. Maybe consider bringing the player back to the last "on-ground" point? Can't wait to see this on Steam :) Good luck!
Amazing game. I'm never too hooked on most metroidvania games, but this one had me finishing it on one sitting. I'll gladly wait for the full game, congrats on making it!
heyo!! i just started playing this and it's SUPER COOL, but does anyone know why my ps4 controller isn't working with it and how to fix it? i just know it'd be an absolute banger to play with controller. cheers!!
okay jk, i sucked it up and played the whole thing on keyboard and it was STILL an absolute banger, the movement is so smooth and excellent, i feel like a little rogue who loves to stab and make money. awesome gameplay experience and atmosphere, can't wait to play the whole thing!!
omg what a blast that was. I loved everything about this one. From the art style to the fast gameplay. i must say, the dev really out did themselves here. Everything was perfect...I really hope they finish (full game) it one day. This was so much fun. the mc felt so smooth to control. Many games can't get that great smooth feeling nowadays. So i was shocked..Once more :) you really out did yourself mate.
