It's been a while since I've played a delivery game, and this really recalls memories of those old flash games. I hold those games with high regard, and this game makes me feel the same. I like the simplicity of the gameplay loop, running around and delivering bakeries within a time limit. The controls are a bit janky, but I think that's the point, and it's certainly fun to drive around the map like an uncontrollable bull crashing into every car possible. The map is also quite nicely designed, and I can't praise enough the importance of memorable and diverse map features, which help the player to quickly identify locations and find their way. Nice job!
For some criticism, I think there should be a better and more noticeable way to see your delivery target (building, old man etc.). The current system, with just text on top of the target location, often goes out if the visible screen and confuses me about where I should even deliver. I am picturing something like a green area outline, like what crazy taxi had, and that should convey the message well. I would also think that the remaining time starts even before the player has returned to the bakery felt a bit unfair, as it was usually the case where a distant target had almost used up their delivery time even before I got to see it.
Anyway, this is quite a nice little game! Keep up the good work!
In some areas, it felt weird, however I really enjoyed it!
Fun game, there's general clunkiness but the concept is solid. Akira cover drew me in, very good idea for the cover.
A little buggy but fun concept. Got plowed over by traffic more times that I care to admit. I feel like the balance of the tasks was well done. One thing that I think would help a lot is either a minimap or directional markers pointing where your order goals are. First time playing was mostly just learning the map. Great job!
The game caught my attention because of the Akira pose haha
I was having fun with the game but for some reason interacting with the order menu softlock the game, I can’t do anything after some delivery orders, I don’t know what triggers, my thought is that interacting while a new order appears do this but sometimes don’t, I don’t know and it pains me because the game is fun but if I can’t play without worrying that eventually the game will crash out and I’ll lose the score, it happens the 5 times I played :(
About the things I like is when you get hit by a car and it shoots you in the other direction, it makes me laugh each time hahaha. The setting of the game is good and the map is simple enough to not get lost, which is great because from the start you can do deliveries without much trouble. At some point I just explored the map and tried to get out of bounds but I see all it’s covered, even with the cars and becoming “invisible” in order to flow with no problem at the edge of the map. I just found that the buildings at the bottom can be a bit visually buggy
The menu at restarting the game, the quit text is out of place.
I liked the song and the art of the game, it has its charm. And I think that’s all what I could give feedback, maybe skip the whole delivery order menu interaction and just interacting with an order put it in a slot could save a few seconds, maybe spawn more delivery orders because in my 1st gameplay I ran out of them and I had to wait and then the game crashed. Maybe a new map if you get more money
In any case, I had fun with the game while I was playing haha :)
This is a very charming game - if you could eventually make the bike a little less slippery, and maybe add on-screen markers to help find orders, it would bring things together.
PS: That army of old men in the park is unsettling and I love it.
Nice game, I enjoyed cycling around the city even if the cars did keep launching me everywhere! did get lost a few times though, maybe an arrow pointing to your delivery destination would be a helpful addition
Thanks! That objective arrow was actually a planned feature, but we weren't able to add it in before the deadline. Good to know it'll be useful in future versions of the game!
the cars launching you around is really funny.
i couldnt figure out how to pick the orders up . i'd recommend you make it more intuitive
Thank you for the feedback! Our latest bug patch should make it more clear in the tutorial how to traverse the menu.
wow this is fun, the bike feels like its riding on ice and i wish it was more controllable, one funny mechanic is that the cars give you an insane speed boost so you can get to locations faster (not sure if it was intentional but its fun). One problem i had is that i cant seem to open the map while riding the bike which is annoying since i don't have the map memorized.
Glad you had fun! One planned feature we had planned were on-screen arrows to point you towards a delivery location, but we didn't have the time to implement it. Thanks for the feedback!
I loved the visuals! But I didn't really know where to go? The game looks very polished and well done, maybe it is an issue on my part lol
and I kinda got softlocked inbetween cars multiple times, but the cars launching me was really fun to play around with
Thanks for pointing this out! Our recent bug fix now prevents such softlockes. Glad you enjoyed it!
no worries! at the "Now Open" store, you can select biscuits and put them in your bag with WASD/SPACE, and the map shows where you need to deliver them to :) thanks for playing!
A charming little game, I had a nice time playing it.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for playing!
